# 3. Docker Desktop

After installing Docker, open the Docker Desktop app. This will start Docker running. Its important to note that the node will only be connected to our networn if Docker is open and running the Docker container.

If you would like to disconnect your GPU as a node, then closing docker will be sufficient.
